Call #JamaisSansElles (“Never Without Her”) : 120 participants from the digital world, the media and politics give their word

Call #JamaisSansElles (« Never Without Her », plural): 120 participants from the digital world, the media and politics give their word

One hundred French humanist entrepreneurs and players from the digital world, the media and political life want to see more women taking part in public events.

#JamaisSansElles has reached more than 32 million people on Twitter. Here is their call published in « Le Point » magazine in January 2016.

Too many panels, panel discussions, round tables, expert committees. Too many councils, meetings, debating groups… without women! From this moment on we will no longer participate in any public or media events where subjects pertaining to the common interest, society, politics, economics, science and strategic matters are debated, commented on or judged where there are no women among a large number of participants.

We are not asking for quotas, written rules or laws. We are asking for a simple personal commitment faced with a foregone conclusion: A panel without a single woman on it is unequivocally and blatantly absurd.

This is the commitment that was made and the call that was extended with conviction 20 January 2016 by the Club des gentlemen, a group of entrepreneurs and leading figures in the digital world committed to public debate and the humanistic transformation of society, presided over by Tatiana F. Salomon and Guy Mamou-Mani.

This permanent commitment, will be supported by public statements, whenever necessary, and accompanied by the hashtag #JamaisSansElles on social medias.
